Description
1st world war from a German perspective.
A pair of shell casings
One made in May 1918
One made in April 1918
Both recall the battle for Bailleul in 1918
Eventually taken by Germany after fierce resistance.
Both are marked 1914 on a representation of the Iron Cross with a capital W for Wilhelm II the Kaiser
They were evidently etched in1922.
