Description
Stunning very large mid century modernist / MCM Fibre Art vintage wall hanging. Unsigned (many were not) so no guarantees but in my opinion very likely a genuine Don Freedman original.
I bought this from an exclusive London interiors store in the 1970s. It was very expensive. An exceptionally hard to find piece and a lifetime investment.
It is very large and measures approximately:
108cm high to bottom of tassels (but excluding hanging jute) ...over three and a half feet tall!
It is 62cm wide.
Made of wood (few natural holes add to authenticity), jute and wool. All natural products used in this exclusive piece. In lovely vintage condition with beautiful, vibrant and rich colours and all original tassels, materials, etc.
Rarely hung so lovely, bright colours. A real statement piece of modern vintage art from a sought after period of the American design movement.
