Description
A large unusual & ornate black Belgium slate mantel clock with French Jappy Freres bell striking movement, manufactured in around 1850-1899. This antique clock has a mechanical pendulum movement engraved with Jappy Freres logo on the rear, that strikes a melodious sounding bell on the half hour and hour. There are some minor marks & nibbles to case,all commensurate with age as to be expected. That do not detract from its attractive features. Overall this is a beautiful looking engraved facia clock, recently oiled and in good working order. Supplied with key. Please see all pictures. Pick up only due to delicacy and sheer weight of 15 kilos. Cash on collection. Height 24 cm Width 35 cm Depth 20 cm.
