Mobile Plant Fitter – Permanent Role

Location: Doncaster

Pay: £16 – £18 per hour (DOE)

Hours: 7:00am – 5:00pm, 5 days per week (some weekend work required)

We’re looking for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join the team in Doncaster, servicing and repairing fleet of heavy mobile plant equipment — including loading shovels, 360 grabs, forklift trucks, telehandlers, and more.

This is not a car mechanic role — we need someone with proven heavy plant experience who can hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair faults on a variety of mobile plant machinery.

Use diagnostic software to identify and resolve issues.

*

Service, maintain, and repair hydraulic systems, engines, axles, and rams.

*

Carry out welding and other repair work as required.

*

Ensure all work is completed to a high safety and quality standard.

Requirements

Previous experience as a mobile plant fitter or heavy plant engineer.

Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and diesel engines.

Ability to use diagnostic tools and software.

Competence in welding and mechanical repairs.

Flexible approach to working hours, including some weekends.
