Are you a Senior Solution Architect with a strong enterprise mindset, financial services experience, and a passion for solving complex architectural challenges? We're looking for a highly capable architect to shape and deliver impactful digital solutions for a leading asset management and financial services provider.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders, delivery teams, and fellow architects to design scalable, regulatory-compliant solutions aligned to enterprise and FSI goals.
Key Responsibilities
Translate complex business and regulatory requirements into end-to-end solution architectures across multiple systems and domains.
Leverage architectural frameworks (e.g. TOGAF) to drive clarity and consensus in ambiguous or fast-changing environments.
Design solutions across all architectural layers—application, data, infrastructure, integration, and security.
Ensure non-functional requirements (e.g. performance, resilience, scalability) are embedded from day one.
Align architecture with enterprise and FSI-specific roadmaps, with a clear view of long-term business and regulatory objectives.
Bring thought leadership to legacy system rationalisation, identifying opportunities to simplify and decommission redundant platforms.
Ensure all solutions meet internal architecture standards and are compliant with external regulations (e.g. GDPR, EU AI Act, FCA regulations, MiFID II, SMCR).
Collaborate with senior stakeholders and C-suite decision-makers to influence and guide architectural outcomes.
Coach and mentor junior architects and engineers on FSI-aligned architecture practices and principles.
Stay ahead of the curve with emerging tech trends, including AI in finance, cloud-native development, blockchain, APIs, and event-driven architectures.Skills & Experience Required
Strong experience within financial services or asset management, ideally within FSI transformation programmes.
Deep understanding of regulatory requirements across the UK and EU (e.g. GDPR, SMCR, MiFID II).
Strong functional understanding of one or more enterprise domains (e.g. Finance, Risk, Compliance, Customer).
Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-grade solutions in regulated environments.
Expertise in architecture domains: application, data, infrastructure, integration, and security.
Experience navigating technical constraints, managing risk, and resolving architectural debt.
Familiarity with enterprise architecture methodologies (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.).
Excellent stakeholder communication skills—both technical and non-technical.
Experience with major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), microservices, and component-based architectures.
Track record in supporting digital transformation or cloud modernisation programmes in the financial sector.Desirable
Certifications in TOGAF, Azure/AWS architecture, or solution architecture.
Experience in innovation areas within finance such as AI, tokenisation, digital identity, or ESG reporting tools.
Familiarity with enterprise governance and compliance processes in financial institutions. How to Apply
