The Company

A dynamic Food Manufacturing business that is growing sales, profitability and their product range. They are seeking to appoint additional Production Team Leaders / Production Supervisors, as they expand their UK operations and increase production capacity to satisfy demand from an ever-expanding list of customers.

The Role

Shift Pattern: 2 days, 2 nights, 4-off.

The Production Team Leaders will be responsible for 4 – 7 Production Operatives on Shift. The individuals appointed will ensure the Shift achieves key production objectives through the efficient planning of manpower, raw materials, production schedules and labour. Other responsibilities will include the training and development of production staff, providing health & safety induction training, monitoring correct use of PPE, supervising product changeovers and coordinating shift handover.

Liaising with Production, Engineering, Raw Materials and other departments will be required and the Production Team Leaders will play a key role in Continuous Improvement activities, such as initiating and coordinating Production improvement projects. There will also be a requirement to support site audits and ensure the delivery of targeted KPI’s on Waste, Downtime, Absence, Quality, Yield, and Equipment Effectiveness.

The Person

Candidates ‘must have’ at least 12 months experience of supervising production teams within a Food Manufacturing / FMCG Manufacturing environment and the ability to communicate & influence team members and peers. A demonstrable track-record of working on Production Improvement projects will benefit your application, as will experience of automated production lines within a fast-moving food production / packaging environment.
