Location: ?Glasgow and Paisley

Contract: Fixed term until 31 March 2027 (with potential to be extended or made permanent)

Hours: Full time

Salary: £38,548

The Client Adviser role:

Part of the Trafficking and Exploitation Survivors’ Service (TESS) team, the Assistant Manager is a dynamic and supportive role at Migrant Help. You will provide effective leaderships, line management and oversight for advisers as well as providing a professional, high quality support service to a small complex caseload. You will need to meet the changing local business needs and will re-prioritise work as necessary, working consistently to ensure the continuous development of the Service and ensure that all advisory processes and procedures are efficient, professional and consistent.

Key responsibilities of our Assistant Manager:

Continuously support a team of advisers to reach their full potential, providing timely feedback and effective coaching to improve skills, increase efficiency and identify any gaps in training and development needs. Ensure mandatory training is kept up to date.

Monitoring performance to ensure that target guidelines are achieved, working collaboratively to achieve organisational targets and KPI’s using supportive framework when required.

Working closely with the Regional Manager to support their strategic objectives and deputise in their place when needed.

First line of escalation for Advisers on day-to-day operational matters, including advice and guidance on complex cases.

Assisting the Regional Manager with Safeguarding, Health and Safety and Incident Management for the region.

Supporting the Regional Manager with the day to day running of the team, delegating work appropriately and ensuring delivery of service. This includes staff scheduling, on call rotas, case and workload allocation and delegating work appropriately, ensuring effective delivery of service in line with contractual requirements.

Managing a small complex case load, offering appropriate support to vulnerable Service Users and those with additional support needs as required by the Regional Manager.

The experience and skills you need to become our Assistant Manager:

Proven leadership experience within a service user focused or fast paced environment

Substantial experience of supporting, developing and managing others in their work

Demonstrable experience delivering to KPIs and motivating others to meet these targets

The ability to absorb complex written information and communicate effectively

The ability to explain complicated information to Service Users including the use of an interpreter
