Project Assistant Accountant (6-Month FTC)

£325 per day - Inside IR35

Full-time - Hybrid - Luton

The Role

This role will support the implementation of a new Operational Cost System for Airports and Ground Handling. You will play a key role in system testing, data validation, process improvements, and ensuring accurate financial outputs during this critical transition period.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out end-to-end system testing, configuration validation, and process checks.

Reconcile financial data and validate reporting outputs.

Identify, document, and resolve issues, ensuring process improvements are implemented.

Support month-end accounting processes, including journal preparation and reconciliations.

Maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Act as the bridge between project teams and operational finance, ensuring clear communication with all stakeholders.

Provide ad-hoc support for other operational cost areas as needed.

Skills & Experience

Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.

Previous experience in accounting/finance.

Confident working with financial systems and large datasets.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

Experience in systems testing or project support within finance (Skymetrix/airpas experience advantageous but not essential).

Hybrid working: 3 days per week in Luton

40 hours per week
