Description

Join the smartest minds in finance and technology - and keep them paid (perfectly).

As a leader in research and technology, powered by brilliant people and cutting-edge systems. From the world-class engineers and researchers building sophisticated models, to the operations experts keeping everything running smoothly - everyone plays a part in their success.

Now, on the lookout for a Payroll Specialist to join our vibrant and fast-paced team in London. You'll be the go-to payroll expert, managing the UK payroll from start to finish, working closely with an outsourced provider, and fielding queries from some seriously smart (and very inquisitive) employees.

The Role:

As the Sole Payroll Specialist, you'll take ownership of the entire UK payroll process, ensuring our people are paid accurately, on time, and with clarity. This is a hybrid role - part operational, part advisory - ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, high-performing environment and loves a blend of autonomy and collaboration.

Your key responsibilities will include

Acting as the first point of contact for all payroll-related queries across the business - from new joiners to long-serving quants.

Managing and maintaining the relationship with our outsourced payroll provider - you'll be the bridge between internal teams and external processing

Owning all data collation, validation, and submission activities for monthly UK payroll (circa 400+ employees).

Working closely with HR, Finance, and Benefits to ensure seamless integration across systems and processes

Managing statutory reporting, pension contributions, P11Ds, and year-end activities with precision.

Spotting opportunities to streamline and improve - because payroll should never just be "done", it should be smartly done.

What You'll Bring:

Proven experience in managing end-to-end UK payroll, ideally in a sole or lead capacity

Confidence working with an outsourced provider - you know how to manage expectations, timelines, and quality control.

High level of attention to detail - because when you're dealing with top talent, accuracy is everything

Natural problem-solving ability - you don't just find answers, you make complex things simple

Comfortable engaging with bright, switched-on colleagues - from tech to trading, they'll be looking to you as the subject matter expert.

Tech-savvy and curious - we love people who ask questions, explore better ways of doing things, and embrace continuous improvement.

What's In It For You?

A genuinely unique opportunity to join a world-class company at the intersection of finance and technology.

Hybrid working model - collaborate in our stunning London HQ and enjoy the flexibility of remote days.

Competitive salary + exceptional bonus potential + outstanding benefits (seriously, our benefits are next level).

A smart, inclusive, and supportive culture where ideas are heard and development is constant. Smart, switched-on, and ready to make payroll your own?
