Group Risk Manager is required to join an insurance company on a permanent basis.

As the Group Risk Manager, you will be responsible for;

Acting as the Risk Manager for the business unit to support and challenge the implementation of the business's Risk Management Framework and serving as a primary point of contactLead the Risk and Control Self Assesment process, working with Executive and Senior Leadership to challenge risk in their line of controlProviding risk management support with identifying and assessing of new risks and associated controlsAct as the Risk Management lead for Governance meetingsSupport with risk reporting to Audit committeesOwn parts of the Risk Management framework to lead on developmentSupport the Group companies to embed risk management within the business processes and ensure it is owned and controlledMonitoring Board approved Risk Appetite and that Tolerances are adhered to by managementRegular review of the Risk Management Programmes to ensure adherence to the Risk FrameworkDeputise for the Head of Risk & Risk & Compliance Director as requiredLiaison with Group companies Compliance Officers, Internal and External Auditors as appropriateAttend Group companies Audit & Risk Committees when required

As the Group Risk Manager, you will have;

Worked within a Financial Services / Insurance setting within risk managementTechnical knowledge of risk management techniques, risk MI analysis and corporate governanceAbility to apply risk management at a strategic levelA strong understanding in FCA rules, regulations and principles and what is required in a regulated environmentConfidence with influencing and working with senior leaders to provide solid advice and ensure outcomes are securedProject management experienceWorked across customer operations and/ or technology risk would be ideal
