Finance Assistant (Part time - 4 full days a week)

Morgan Mckinley is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to work for a well established, great company in Haywards Heath, West Sussex. The Finance role will be working on a part time basis 4 days a week, working closely with the Head of Finance, supporting with everyday accounting duties; invoices, expenses, payments, month end etc.

Salary: £30-33K full tijme equivalent (pro rata for 4 full days)

Location: Office based - Haywards Heath, West Sussex. Parking onsite available

Hours: 9-5 - Part time, 4 full days a week

Accounts Assistant duties:

* Payroll and associated People costs processing contractors, agencies, third parties. HMRC and pension payments. Query resolution.

* Migration of bookkeeping activities from an external accountancy company.

* Identifying, addressing and/or escalating financial risks and opportunities.

* Working alongside the Head of Group Finance to produce month end (and mid-month if required) Management Accounts reports

* Supporting with annual budget process

* Delivering monthly variance analysis between budgets and actuals.

* Producing rolling monthly forecasts

* Creating ad-hoc financial reports and data analysis

Skills and experience:

* Proven experience working in a similar Assistant Accountant - Accounts/Finance assistant type role

* Attention to detail

* Good IT and communication skills
