Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join a busy accounts team. The successful candidate will also provide valuable financial analysis and reporting to support future business decisions.

Key Responsibilities of a Credit Controller

Manage the debt for a portfolio of business–to–business (B2B) customers. Ensure all customer account details are up to date and accurate. Develop and maintain strong B2B relationships with customers. Send copy documents to customers upon request. Release accounts from hold status once payments have been received. Handle customer communication professionally via phone and email. Communicate with sales representatives and other departments to resolve queries. Address customer complaints by gathering information and offering potential solutions. Open and close customer accounts as needed. Allocate payments and refunds on a daily basis. Release pro–forma orders following payment. Update ledgers with any pending on–hold queries. Perform account reconciliations. Submit monthly reports to the Accounts Manager regarding unpaid invoices.

Key Skills of a Credit Controller

A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar credit control role. Excellent customer service skills. Patience and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Strong analytical skills with a thorough attention to detail. The ability to listen and negotiate effectively with customers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to work well as part of a team.
