Assistant Management Accountant

Adept Resourcing are excited to be working with a brand-new client in Rotherham, seeking an experienced, hands-on Accounts professional (minimum AAT Level 3 qualified) to join on a part-time basis and hit the ground running.

Due to retirement, you'll play a key role in bringing accounts, reporting, and month-ends up to date, ready for year-end in October. This is a fast-paced environment where your skills will make an immediate impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Complete month-end processes and ensure all accounts are accurate and up to date

Prepare management accounts and reporting

Work alongside the external accountant to finalise accounts

Identify, fix, and resolve discrepancies to deliver clean, reliable data

Use Sage 50 for accounting and MS Excel for reporting and analysis

What We're Looking For:

Minimum AAT Level 3 qualified (or equivalent experience)

Proven experience in management accounts and month-end processes

Confident with Sage 50 and MS Excel

Self-managed, proactive, and able to take direction when needed

Someone who loves 'fixing' things and seeing them through to completion

Able to start immediately

Contract Info:

Part time - 24 hours per week

Either shorter hours across 5 days OR 3 full days per week

Office-based in Rotherham

2-3 month contract (possibility of becoming permanent)
