We re working with a top 10 accountancy practices that operates across the UK, Ireland and the Nordics, and they are looking to recruit an Accounts Senior to join their growing team.

Shrewsbury Permanent Full-Time (37.5 hours per week) GBP27,000 - GBP33,000 DOE

The Role:

As an Accounts Senior, you'll play a key role in preparing and finalising client accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. You'll also be involved in tax computations, reviewing work prepared by junior staff, and supporting the smooth delivery of client services.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Preparing accounts for a wide range of clients. Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and providing feedback. Assisting with complex accounting and tax matters. Liaising with clients, providing guidance and resolving queries. Ensuring deadlines are met and budgets are managed effectively.

Requirements:

For this Accounts Senior position, we're seeking someone with strong technical knowledge and proven experience in an accountancy practice environment. To be successfully considered for the Accounts Senior position, you will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. In terms of qualifications, you will ideally be part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (AAT/ACA/ACCA/CA) or qualified by experience.

You will also offer:

Strong knowledge of accounting and tax principles. Experience preparing and reviewing accounts and tax returns. Ability to explain technical matters clearly to clients. Confident in using accountancy software (knowledge of Xero would be an advantage). Organised and proactive, with strong workflow planning skills.
