The Opportunity:

Kenton Black Finance are currently recruiting for an Accounts Receivable Clerk on behalf of a business that is based in the Milnthorpe area. This company has a turnover of circa 170 million pounds, and has been operating for over 25 years. You would join an Accounts Receivable team made up of 3 staff and have a "can do" attitude. The benefits include 27 days of annual leave (plus bank holidays), life assurance, medical cover, a company pension, and the opportunity to buy and sell annual leave. You would be able to work on a hybrid basis after you've passed your probation (2 days from home).

Salary and Benefits:

• Salary: From £25,000 up to £28,000

Your New Role as the Accounts Receivable Clerk:

• Efficiently raising and sending all invoices within agreed timescales

• Identifying and resolving any invoicing queries to ensure timely payment

• Accurately record customer receipts

• Be an active participant in the annual audit in respect of any Accounts Receivable related samples

• Effectively produce and develop management information (MI) that will enable the business to analyse debtors and collections

• Updating and maintenance of all the Group’s billing schedules and ensuring any changes are reconciled to the underlying financial ledgers

• Liaising with the Commercial department in setting up new contracts ensuring all information is present and accurate to generate the invoices in a timely manner

• Providing support in other ad hoc Accounts Receivable duties, and also wider Finance, tasks as required

• Ability to adapt to department changes as we continue to grow as a finance function

Experience, Qualifications and Skills Required to Apply:

• Resilient - able to deal with high pressure situations (ESSENTIAL)

• AAT level 2 or QBE (NOT essential)

• Organised and methodical in approach (ESSENTIAL)

• Good knowledge of Excel - including pivot tables and vlookups (ESSENTIAL)

• Able to communicate effectively with suppliers and customers (internal & external) (ESSENTIAL)

• Can work independently and understand the importance of deadlines (ESSENTIAL)

Summary:

This is a great opportunity to join an expanding organisation and a friendly team. The company has a turnover of circa 170 million pounds and is based near Milnthorpe. You will be offered 35 days of annual leave, work in the office, until you've past your probation, and then you can work from home 2 days a week.
