Up for sale I have a Italian made Marino Pigini accordion. It has 80 bass buttons, piano accordion, circa 1940’s/50’s.

It has 37 treble keys, 3 sets of reeds (LMM) treble keyboard measuring 16 1/2" ranging from G to G, and 5 sets of bass reeds.

Exterior condition is in good condition and the accordion plays well.

Good intermediate to professional players instrument, or someone who wants it as a second instrument for music sessions etc.

It is light weight at 8Kg, 17.4 Lbs.

It has 5 treble couplers. Starting from the top, they are, Bassoon (L), Tremolo (MM), Master (LMM), Clarinet (M) and Bandoneon (LM).

It has 2 bass couplers, which select master, and high reeds.

The compression is excellent.

It comes with new shoulder straps and a new rucksack style carry case.

It is a 80 basses, which covers all keys.

It has 5 rows of bass/ chord buttons, these are, counter bass, fundamental bass, major chords, minor chords and seventh chords. The sevenths double up as diminished chords.

Both the treble and bass reeds have been tuned to concert pitch (A = 440Hz). They have also been re valved.

It has also been serviced and some cosmetic touches applied.

I have kept the price of all my accordions to the absolute minimum. Accordions, by nature, are extraordinarily complex and have an extraordinary number of moving parts (the bigger they are, the more work is involved) and therefore consume a vast amount of time in an overhaul to bring them up to a high standard of playability. Please bear this in mind when you consider buying one.

If you are willing to arrange and pay for a courier, I will give the weight of the accordion for postage purposes, where the buyer can arrange a courier to pick it up from my premises. I am prepared to pack the accordion free of charge, but I will not be liable for any damage that might occur in transportation. It is up to the individual whether they insure it or not.

Alternatively, I can do the courier arrangements and packing for a flat rate of £30 (mainland UK), £50 N.I., £40 Highlands and Islands, this does not include insurance.
