Up for sale I have a good quality Borsini piano accordion. It has 120 basses, circa 1950’s.

It has 41 treble keys, 3 sets of treble reeds, and is octave tuned (LMM).

The treble keyboard measures 17.75" ranging from F to A. The keys measure 18mm wide so it is a shorter keyboard than the standard 19.25” keyboard, making it ideal from youths upwards.

It also has a mute system which can be selected via a lever on the grill.

It has 5 treble couplers, which are,
Starting from the top, bassoon (L), clarinet (M), master (LMM), bandoneon (LM), and tremolo (MM).

I have tuned the 2 clarinet reeds to a dry/ swing tuning, +4 cents on A4.

Both the treble and the bass reeds have been tuned to 440Hz.

The high set of bass reeds have been removed, cleaned, re valved and tuned and then re waxed.

Both the treble and bass gaskets have been replaced.

Compression is excellent.

Comes with its original straps and a fiber case.

It is 5 sets of bass reeds.

The accordion, with its straps weighs 9.1kgs (20lbs).

This accordion is in excellent condition, for its age.

It has also been serviced with adjustments, replacements and cosmetic touches made where required. (Some waxing, some valves have been replaced, total re-tune etc.

I have kept the price of all my accordions to the absolute minimum. Accordions, by nature, are very complex and have an extraordinary amount of moving parts (the bigger they are, the more work is involved) and therefore consume a vast amount of time in an overhaul to bring them up to a high standard of playability. Please bear this in mind when you consider buying one.

I am now able to provide an online service through Zoom meetings, so if you live in a remote area, providing you have a reliable internet service, you can have lessons from the comfort of your home.

If you are willing to arrange and pay for a courier, I will give the weight of the accordion for postage purposes, where the buyer can arrange a courier to pick it up from my premises. I am prepared to pack the accordion free of charge, but I will not be liable for any damage that might occur in transportation. It is up to the individual whether they insure it or not.

Alternatively, I can do the courier arrangements and packing for a flat rate of £30 (mainland UK), £50 N.I., £40 Highlands and Islands, this does not include insurance.
