Taxed until 31 July 2008, MOT until June 2009. Known to Club Lotus and with an agreed insurance valuation of £10,000. Spring service has been done by Lotus specialist Barry Ely and the car is all set for the summer and a comfortable regular drive.

I purchased this car from Paul Matty Sportscars in 2003 and it was the nicest +2 in their showroom at the time. It is the S 130/5 model, rare and more sought-after by collectors, assuring it will hold it's value, if not appreciate. Being an 'S', it has the uprated, factory Lotus "Big Valve" engine and an overdrive unit for motorway cruising, though it still has all the fun of the other Elans in the first four gears!

It is in good condition throughout and has a massive folder of history (restoration photos, receipts, tax discs, MoT history, previous owners, etc. etc.) which I have kept up to date. Last autumn I spent over £1,000 doing all the rotoflex joints and giving the car a **FULL** mechanical overhaul. I can say with confidence this Elan is in excellent mechanical condition and has the usual galvanised replacement chassis, so none of the chassis corrosion issues which plagued the Elans.

Fully fitted Cobra alarm, immobiliser and remote central locking (though I don't use them myself so they are currently disconnected from the wiring loom).
