We are a friendly and happy family, professional couple with 2 young children, aged 7 and 5, living in the Kensington High Street area. We are looking for a Mother's help / Housekeeper to start in the middle of August.
About us: My husband works fulltime and I work 3 days a week. Our two daughters are both at school 4 and half days a week, we take them to school in the morning at around 7.45am. The children are friendly and well behaved and are used to having Nanny / Helpers in the house.
We are looking for a Mother's help /Housekeeper to work up to 35 hours each week, plus 2/3 nights babysitting which may be over the weekend.
We require a minimum of 3 years experience in a nanny / housekeeper role with children of similar age and excellent checkable references from previous employers.
Fluent or extremely good written and spoken English is essential as our older daughter is studying for exams in September and will need help with her homework after school.
Job role during school term time includes help dress and breakfast the children for school, pick up from school (usually only 3 days per week), by public transport. At home after school duties include overseeing homework, bathing, prepare children’s supper and dress for bed.
Your first language must be English; fluent in written and spoken, we also need you to have a good standard of education so you can help them with their homework & music practise.(the children play piano and violin).
School holidays arrange play dates and take to school holiday clubs/ activities.
Daily housekeeping includes tidying bedrooms/weekly change linens, vacuuming, maintaining clean kitchen, and bathroom, floors etc, laundry and ironing.
Possible overseas travel to Europe during summer.
Home care is full cleaning of the Flat, twice week (takes about 4 hours each time) and ironing for the family (about 4 hours a week). We need someone who is very good at cleaning and ironing.
The standard pay before extras, depending on reference will be between £150-£175 per week plus food and board. You will have your own room with satellite TV, wireless internet access. Your bathroom, is shared with the children, it is modern, with a large bath / shower, sink and toilet.
You will need to be available for interviews in the UK (and already possess a UK work Visa). You must be female (not a couple and no children), minimum 25 years old, a non-smoker and be able to commit minimum 2 years. A CRB check will be required if you do not already have one. Have good organisational skills, tidy, smart, sporty, clean driving licence (would be a benefit, but not compulsory) and a non-smoker. Knowledge of French or Spanish would be useful, but not compulsory either. Willing to take a St John’s Ambulance first aid course or a Paediatric first aid certificate
