Mercedes-Benz offers several new energy vehicles (NEVs) in its current lineup, including fully electric and plug-in hybrid models. The EQ range is the brand’s dedicated electric series, while some conventional models also feature plug-in hybrid variants.

  1. EQA – A compact electric SUV with a range of up to 260 miles (WLTP). It’s ideal for urban driving and offers a practical boot space of 340 litres.
  2. EQB – A larger electric SUV with seven-seat capability and a range of around 250 miles (WLTP).
  3. EQC – The brand’s first all-electric SUV, offering a 255-mile range (WLTP) and a premium interior.
  4. EQE – A sleek executive saloon with up to 394 miles of range (WLTP) and advanced tech features.
  5. EQS – The flagship luxury electric saloon, boasting a 453-mile range (WLTP) and cutting-edge infotainment.
  6. Plug-in Hybrids – Models like the C-Class, E-Class, and S-Class offer PHEV versions, combining electric-only driving (up to 70 miles in some cases) with petrol or diesel engines.

The EQ models feature fast-charging capabilities, with some supporting up to 170 kW DC charging. For those prioritising efficiency and luxury, the EQS and EQE are strong contenders, while the EQA and EQB suit families needing practicality.

From a budget-conscious perspective, the EQA and EQB are the most accessible Mercedes-Benz electric models, starting around £45,000. They offer decent range (250+ miles WLTP) and practicality, making them sensible choices for cost-aware buyers. The EQC is pricier but still more affordable than the ultra-luxury EQS, which exceeds £100,000. Plug-in hybrids like the C 300 e provide a middle ground for those not ready to go fully electric.
