The car's crossmember is essentially the front frame, commonly referred to as the radiator support or front apron panel. It serves as the mounting point for components such as the radiator and cooling system.

Located at the front of the vehicle, the radiator support is designed to secure the radiator in place.

The crossmember is a crucial structural component of a car – when you open the bonnet, the section that holds the bonnet latch is part of the crossmember.

Most vehicles feature detachable crossmembers, though some models integrate this component with the main body frame.

In frontal collisions, the radiator support is typically the first component to sustain damage. Important reminder: Always practise safe driving when on the road.
