A 3D printed car simply refers to a vehicle manufactured using 3D printing technology. Below is an introduction to relevant aspects:

Printing technology:

For a 3D printed car, only certain components of the vehicle are produced via 3D printing; traditional parts such as batteries and wiring currently cannot be manufactured using this technology.

Customisation freedom:

Due to the high flexibility of 3D printing technology, its application in the automotive industry can enhance the customisation freedom of car components and enable more personalised vehicle designs. Currently, one example of a car produced using 3D printing technology is Audi's Silver Arrow sports car model, which is half the size of the original vehicle, with its metal body sections printed layer by layer using metal powder.
