ACC in a car stands for Adaptive Cruise Control system. The Adaptive Cruise Control system can also be referred to as Active Cruise, which is an intelligent automatic control system.

The ACC Adaptive Cruise Control system mainly includes:

  1. Speed setting and adjustment function.
  2. Following the preceding vehicle function.
  3. Autonomous emergency braking function.
  4. Lane keeping function.
  5. Lane departure warning and correction function.

Detailed introduction:

  1. Speed setting and adjustment function: The driver sets a specific speed, but as traffic conditions are usually complex, it's difficult for the vehicle to maintain a constant speed smoothly. The ACC Adaptive Cruise Control has the capability to decelerate and accelerate according to road conditions.
  2. Following the preceding vehicle function: This function allows the driver to adjust the following distance independently, ensuring a safe distance is maintained from the vehicle ahead.
  3. Autonomous emergency braking function: When the vehicle's driving state is in or approaching a dangerous situation, it can autonomously bring the car to a halt. Currently, this function's recognition range is limited to hazards directly ahead, with hazards from the side or rear being temporarily unable to be accurately identified.
  4. Lane keeping function: The lane keeping function reduces driver fatigue, allowing the vehicle to stay within the lane on roads with clear lane markings.
  5. Lane departure warning and correction function: On roads with clear lane markings, if the vehicle deviates and crosses the lane line, the steering wheel will vibrate accompanied by an audible alert to notify the driver of the deviation from the normal path. If the driver does not correct the direction, the system will also intervene to correct the direction, enhancing safety when the driver is fatigued or distracted.
