From a sustainability perspective, Audi’s electric lineup—Q4 e-tron, Q8 e-tron, and e-tron GT—prioritises low emissions without compromising performance. The Q4 e-tron, for instance, uses recycled materials in its interior, aligning with eco-conscious buyers’ values. Plug-in hybrids like the A6 TFSIe bridge the gap for drivers transitioning to full electrification, offering petrol backup for longer journeys.

Audi currently offers several new energy vehicle (NEV) models, including fully electric and plug-in hybrid options. The all-electric range features the Audi Q4 e-tron, Q8 e-tron, and e-tron GT, while plug-in hybrids include the A3, A6, A7, A8, Q5, and Q7 TFSIe variants.

The Q4 e-tron is a compact SUV with a range of up to 316 miles (WLTP), ideal for urban drivers. The Q8 e-tron, an upgrade from the original e-tron, offers improved efficiency and a 330-mile range. The e-tron GT, a performance-focused saloon, shares its platform with the Porsche Taycan and delivers rapid acceleration (0-62 mph in 3.3 seconds for the RS model).

Plug-in hybrids like the A6 TFSIe combine a petrol engine with an electric motor, offering around 30 miles of electric-only range, suitable for short commutes. Charging times vary: a 7kW home charger replenishes most models overnight, while rapid public chargers can achieve 80% in under 30 minutes for electric variants.

Audi’s NEVs integrate advanced tech, including regenerative braking and predictive efficiency assist, optimising range. The brand plans to phase out combustion engines by 2033, focusing on full electrification.

Audi's new energy vehicles include the Audi A3 e-tron, Audi A6L e-tron, and Audi Q7 e-tron. The A3 e-tron is a plug-in hybrid model developed based on the A3; the Audi A6L e-tron is equipped with a hybrid system consisting of a 2.0TFSI gasoline engine and an electric motor; the new-generation Q7 e-tron gasoline hybrid is built on the latest MLB Evo platform.

The A3 e-tron is a plug-in hybrid model developed based on the A3, achieving hybrid transformation by adding an electric motor connected to the flywheel (along with a battery pack that powers the motor) between the 1.4TFSI engine and the 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. The system's total output is 150 kW (204 PS)/350 Nm, a significant increase compared to the conventional power version of the A3, resulting in acceleration performance that is even better than the standard power version.

The Audi A6L e-tron is equipped with a hybrid system consisting of a 2.0TFSI gasoline engine and an electric motor. The 2.0TFSI gasoline engine delivers a maximum power of 155 kW (211 PS) and a maximum torque of 350 Nm, while the electric motor provides a maximum power of 91 kW (124 PS) and a maximum torque of 220 Nm. When both work together, the car's combined maximum output is 180 kW (245 PS)/500 Nm, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The new-generation Q7 e-tron gasoline hybrid is built on the latest MLB Evo platform. Its body incorporates multiple lightweight technologies and materials, reducing the vehicle's weight by over 300 kg compared to the current model.
