81There are three symptoms indicating a faulty engine ignition coil:
- The vehicle body vibrates noticeably when idling.
- If the ignition coil fails while driving, the vehicle will exhibit poor acceleration.
- Upon opening the bonnet and observing the running engine, noticeable engine vibration can be detected.
The presence of any of these three symptoms indicates a faulty engine ignition coil. Insufficient energy from the ignition coil can cause poor performance in one of the engine's cylinders, or even result in a complete failure of a cylinder.
If only one ignition coil is faulty, continued driving can be highly detrimental to the engine, engine mounts, and connecting components. It is advisable to promptly visit a 4S dealership to replace the faulty ignition coil.
If ignition coils in more than one cylinder are damaged, it is recommended to stop driving immediately and have the vehicle towed to a 4S dealership or garage for replacement and repairs.
