The method to adjust the display settings on the older Peugeot 307 is as follows:

  1. Turn on the car ignition to activate the trip computer display.
  2. Press and hold the protruding button in the centre of the dashboard for approximately 3 seconds until the clock display begins to flash.
  3. Once the clock is flashing, use the same button to scroll up or down to adjust the hours to the correct time.
  4. After setting the hours, wait 2 seconds until the minutes begin flashing, then use the button to adjust the minutes accordingly.
  5. When both hours and minutes are correctly set, the entire time display will flash simultaneously. Simply wait 5 seconds until the flashing stops to confirm the settings.

To adjust the settings on the older Peugeot 307 small display screen, follow these steps. The display, often referred to as the multi-function screen, is controlled via the stalk-mounted buttons on the right side of the steering wheel.

  1. Turn the ignition to the accessory position (or start the engine).
  2. Press the "MENU" button on the stalk to access the main settings.
  3. Use the up/down arrows to navigate through options like clock, language, or trip computer.
  4. Press the "OK" button (usually at the end of the stalk) to select and adjust settings.
  5. For the clock, hold the "OK" button to enter adjustment mode, then use the arrows to set the correct time.

If the display is unresponsive, check the fuse (F8 in the passenger compartment fuse box) or disconnect the battery for a few minutes to reset the system. The screen’s brightness can sometimes be adjusted via the "Display" submenu.

Common issues include frozen displays due to electrical glitches—cycling the ignition often helps. For language changes, ensure the correct regional setting is selected. If problems persist, consult a Peugeot specialist, as older models may require diagnostic tools for deeper system resets.

A Peugeot specialist’s perspective: The 307’s small display is basic but functional. Key adjustments are made via the right-hand stalk. Clock settings often confuse owners—hold "OK" to edit, don’t just tap. If the screen flickers, it’s likely a failing instrument cluster, common in high-mileage 307s. Reprogramming via Diagbox software may be needed for persistent glitches. Avoid aftermarket radio installations interfering with CAN bus signals.
