There are many types of Mercedes-Benz cars, and different models require different amounts of engine oil. For example, the Mercedes GLC has a thicker engine oil pan, so it requires about 6 liters of oil; the Mercedes C-class has an oil reserve of 4.5L; the Mercedes C180 needs 7 liters of oil; and the Mercedes E-class requires 5 liters of oil. If you are unsure how much oil to add, you can check the oil level using the dipstick while adding oil.
There are two types of engine oil dipsticks: mechanical and electronic. Both mechanical and electronic engine oil dipsticks generally have upper and lower limits. The normal oil level should be between the upper and lower limits. If it exceeds the upper limit, the excess engine oil should be drained. If it is below the lower notch, oil should be added through the oil filler port.
If your car has an electronic engine oil dipstick but it is not functioning, you can refer to the car's operating manual or consult the dealership where you purchased the car.
