Stop-leak agent can be used for engine cylinder gasket leakage, but it is only an emergency solution and provides temporary relief. The cylinder gasket must be replaced to avoid extensive damage caused by coolant entering the engine due to severe leakage.

Effects of Engine Cylinder Gasket Leakage:

When the cylinder gasket is damaged, it compromises the seal between the cylinder head and the engine block, leading to gas leakage. Due to the leakage of oil and coolant, the affected area may exhibit splashing of oil and coolant, accompanied by a sound of gas mixed with liquid. A damaged cylinder gasket also reduces cylinder pressure, allowing compressed gas to leak through gaps or enter other cylinders, ultimately causing unstable engine operation.

Solutions for Engine Cylinder Gasket Leakage:

Cylinder gasket damage is a serious issue. If it occurs, the vehicle should be stopped and the engine turned off immediately, followed by calling for assistance. Using a stop-leak agent is only a temporary fix, not a permanent solution. The damaged cylinder gasket should be addressed promptly to prevent severe damage that could lead to various vehicle problems.
