Seiko SQ 4004 Vintage Watch (great condition and working perfectly)

Norwich, Norfolk £115.00

An original Seiko SQ 4004 from the late 1970s in perfect working order.

Very rare 10-sided crystal in perfect unmarked condition. Keeps very precise time, within approximately 1 second per week and date and day functions by work and align perfectly.

All stainless steel watch in very good condition with only minor signs of wear to the case.

Recently fitted on new Hirsch Ascot strap, which cost over £40 alone.

Brand new battery fitted in the past couple of weeks.

The watch is a very nice piece indeed with very sturdy build quality. My understanding is that the original SQ range of watches were actually more expensive and prestigious than Seiko's automatics at the time.

Amazingly, the lume on the watch still works perfectly and seems to glow as bright as it would have done when new.

Beautiful satin silver dial and applied markers.

The second hand of the watch aligns dead-on the second markers, which is not always the case with quartz watches.

This is a very reluctant sale. I own a small personal collection including what might be considered higher end pieces from the 1970s including a Rolex 6694, Omega Geneve and Tudor Prince, but, this Seiko is one of my favourites regardless of cost. In my opinion, the SQ 4004 can easily hold its own against the Swiss pieces in my collection in terms of looks, build quality and finishing. It's just a really nice retro piece that functions just as well today as it would have done 40 years ago.

I can show more photos of the watch, should you require.

I'm happy to post by Royal Mail Special Delivery, if required.

Payment in person, bank transfer or PayPal please.

Thanks for looking
