Hi, this is James Colah — award-winning composer/producer, keyboardist, studio owner, and former Sony Records recording artist with over four decades of professional experience, 21 #1s in over 40 international charts (of which 7 reached #1 in the UK Soul Charts), and BBC Radio “Soul Track of the Year” Award winner for my song, “Could It Be.”
I’m seeking a talented singer/songwriter to collaborate with me on my next release.
THE OPPORTUNITY
• You will write the lyrics, compose all vocal melodies, and perform the song.
• Receive 50% ownership, including co-credit, royalties, and recognition as the featured artist (e.g., James Colah – Song Title (feat. [Your Name])).
• Work with professionally composed and produced backing tracks.
• Record in my studio in Stoke on Trent, UK (free of charge) or send multitrack recordings from anywhere in the world.
WHO YOU ARE
• A singer/songwriter with a Soul, R&B, Neo-Soul, or Gospel vocal tone.
• Able to compose lyrics and vocal melodies that complement professional studio arrangements.
• Experienced in recording or performing original material — your own released or demo tracks are ideal.
• Age, gender, and appearance are irrelevant — what matters is your vocal tone, songwriting ability, and creativity.
• Vocals should be natural — no heavy Auto-Tune or vocal processing.
• Professional, responsive, and motivated to create a high-standard collaboration.
