Description
Time to part with my much-loved 2001 Triumph Speed Triple 955i.
I bought this bike brand new and rode it for 3 years before putting it into dry storage, where it’s been ever since. I had plans to restore it myself but have now accepted I’m unlikely to ride again — so it’s time to let someone else enjoy it.
✅ What’s Good:
One-owner bike with just 18,951 miles
Mechanically sound – engine runs well
Recent work includes:
Oil change
New clutch
New rear brake pads
Cooling system flushed with new antifreeze
New fuel lines and fuel tank connectors
Titanium MHP (Mark Hill Performance) exhaust – fitted from new and sounds brilliant
Custom handlebars
Extras included:
2 keys
Triumph paddock stand
Haynes workshop manual
⚠️ What Needs Attention:
Bodywork has cracks that will need repairing
Corrosion on aluminium and chrome parts – likely needs repainting and possible re-chroming
Chain will need replacing
Not currently road-ready – will need a full recommission after long-term storage
These early 955i Speed Triples are becoming increasingly collectable. This one has great bones, low mileage, and some quality work already done – perfect for an enthusiast to restore or customise.
