THE TRIUMPH TIGER 800 IS A POPULAR ADVENTURE MOTORCYCLE AND IS FROM A UK-BASED MANUFACTURER. THE XC MODEL THAT WE HAVE HERE, HAS LONGER-TRAVEL SUSPENSION AT THE FRONT AND THE REAR AND HAS 45mm FORKS AGAINST 43mm ON THE XR, MAKING THIS BIKE FAR MORE RUGGED ESPECIALLY WITH THE SPOKED WHEELS AGAIN COMPARED TO THE USUAL ALLOY WHEELS. THE SADDLE IS ALSO TALLER ON THE XC MODEL AND IS SIZED AT 845mm TO 865mm.
THIS BIKE IS AIMED AT RIDERS WHO SOUGHT A MORE RUGGED AND OFF-ROAD CAPABLE BIKE THAN STANDARD BIKES AVAILABLE. POWER IS RATED AT AROUND 95hp AND HAS A TORQUE FIGURE OF 79Nm WITH FUEL COMING FROM ELECTRONIC FUEL INJECTION AND TWIN THROTTLE BODIES. ALL THIS IS MATED THROUGH A 6 SPEED GEARBOX. WITH A DRY WEIGHT OF CIRCA 210Kg (without panniers and top box) THESE BIKES REALLY ARE A JOY TO PUSH AROUND AND ARE STABLE BIKES WHILST ON THE GO.
