Description
If you are a regular passenger with a favourite airline and would like the opportunity to travel for FREE then you have come across a brand new way of travel where you can win a free economy, business or first class flight using air miles alone at a fraction of the price of a full flight ticket paying only government taxes and air line fuel surcharges. No need to book your travel on line via third party subsidiaries or via a high street travel agent.
Most airlines have loyalty programs that allow passengers to earn air miles every time they travel. In addition to these, airlines also have code share arrangements with partner airlines meaning a passenger can book a flight with one airline before then taking a connecting flight with a partner airline without having to book separate flights with rival airlines.
Virgin Atlantic Airways and Delta Airways have a code share arrangement whereby passengers wishing to travel to Houston, Texas in the United States of America (where Virgin Atlantic does not have a presence) can take a Virgin Atlantic flight to Atlanta, then connect onto a Delta Airways flight for the onward journey and vice versa. British Airways & American Airways are also code share partners as are Delta Airways & KLM France.
Many airlines are also now part of three major airline alliances such as Star Alliance, (consisting of 26 members) Oneworld Alliance, (consisting of 13 members) & Skyteam Alliance (consisting of 19 members) meaning airline points can be earned and / or redeemed when travelling on other airlines. This in turn opens up a wide range of worldwide routes that a single airline alone may not be able to offer meaning the world is your oyster.
SO HOW DOES A PASSENGER BECOME ELIGIBLE FOR A FREE FLIGHT
By joining an airline's loyalty program. Most airlines have loyalty programs which offer air miles every time a person travel, some better than others. With code share arrangements this now means that a passenger can fly on a partner airline and still get air miles (or be able to redeems those air miles on the rival airline) as a loyal customer providing they have signed up to their chosen airline(s) loyalty program.
Where a passenger is signed up to more than one airlines' loyalty program then they would have to choose which airline offered the best ratio in terms of earning or redeeming airline points. Once a passenger joins a loyalty program, they can earn enough air miles in between flights that would eventually allow them to get a free flight (subject to paying government taxes and airline surcharges of course)
So how does one get to earn enough points to get a free flight? The best way to gain a free flight is to travel regularly. However, there are many other ways to gain air miles without even flying by simply doing on line shopping via the link through your chosen airlines website. Some retailers offer a 1:1 ratio conversion in terms of 1 pound equally 1 air mile where as others will offer anything from 2, to 20 air miles or more per pound spent.
In addition to this you can also link debit and credits cards to the various retailers and gain air miles whenever you shop online or in store, be it for groceries or the regular weekly shopping. Some retailers will offer additional air miles by way of promotions at certain times of the year meaning these air miles can build up very quickly. Other ways of earning air miles includes buying a credit card that rewards customers with air miles.
In terms of booking flights, it is almost always cheaper to book them directly from the chosen airlines website as opposed to what most people do by booking the cheapest possible flights on line via price comparison sites or by visiting a high street travel agent. No air miles are awarded when booking flights indirectly other than via the airline directly.
WHAT I AM OFFERING
I will book the passenger(s) on a flight of their chosen airline whilst also enrolling them onto the loyalty program of that airline and any other airline (as long as it has one) which is free. I will also show the passenger(s) how to navigate the website of the airline so that they are familiar in terms of knowing how to continue earning air miles whilst flying or when on the ground by simply doing their usual day to day activities in a different way.
This can include the purchase of home / mobile phones, broadband, breakdown cover, fuel purchases, vehicle insurance, hotel stays, holiday insurance, vehicle rental hire, on line shopping, theme parks, train travel, as well as completing on line surveys with the points then being converted to air miles automatically. By doing things slightly different the points will add up very quickly giving the passenger(s) a well deserved reward flight.
MY FEES
As I am providing a professional service (and saving the passenger(s) hundreds if not thousands of pounds off of future flights) I will charge a fee of £60 for each flight booked as well as free registration with the relevant airline(s) loyalty program. Where there are referrals by word of mouth and / or where there are multiple passengers i.e. a family I would be happy to potentially consider offering discounts on my regular fee amount.
The airline ticket will be booked by myself in the presence of the customer with the money being paid directly to the airline with no money being handed over to me other than the agreed fixed fee for providing the service. In the event that a flight is cancelled / delayed by the airline (s) the customers’ recourse in terms of a refund etc will be with the airline directly and not myself with my own fee being NON REFUNDABLE.
As passengers are paying the airline(s) directly for the flight I am able to provide this service without needing professional indemnity insurance or an Air Travel Organisers' Licencing (ATOL) licence or membership of the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) which is entirely voluntary although I many consider doing so should I choose to branch out onto the high street by challenging the traditional on line or high street travel agencies.
I am also happy to cater for those customers who have no interest in gaining airline points or getting free flights and who may not be loyal to any particular airline in getting cheap flights in which case I would make use of other tools at my disposal in order to get them flights that may still be cheaper but without the benefits associated benefits with using the same airline on a regular basis i.e. thereby forsaking air line loyalty points.
My fees can be paid by cash, debit / credit card, BACS transfer, PayPal as well as by cheque or postal order.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES OFFERED
FLIGHT DELAYED / CANCELLATION COMPENSATION
Where a flight is delayed / cancelled it may be possible to claim up to £520.00 in compensation (subject to meeting certain criteria) if the delay or cancellation was the airline's fault and the departure and / or arrival flight was to a UK or EU Airport.
COVID 19 CANCELLATIONS / VOUCHERS
During the pandemic many countries closed their borders to foreign travellers with airlines then being forced to cancel flights already booked and offering vouchers (which is standard practice and perfectly legal in the airline industry) rather than offer cash refunds. Whilst the vast majority of travellers were able to re-book on to alternative flights there have been cases where vouchers issued can no longer be used in which case the airline was obliged to provide a full cash refund but refused to do so. In such a situation the passengers recourse is to bring a money claim against the airline in the civil courts for a full refund of all outstanding monies.
MY FEES
I will charge £60.00 for writing a letter of complaint to the airline and if necessary also write to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) which may help resolve the matter with the airline, therefore resolving matters amicably. If the matter does proceed to court, I will charge £60.00 to fill in the relevant court papers to issue proceedings in the civil courts. There would be a separate fee payable to the courts (which is payable by the customer) to issue the claim. If the claim is successful there would be a success fee of 20% of the total amount of compensation awarded i.e. 20% of £600 = £120.00. So if a court awarded £600 in compensation my fee would be £120.00. The passenger would also be entitled to claim the cost of the court form fee from the airline directly if they won plus 8% County Court interest backdated to when the refund became payable.
LEGAL REPRESENTATION / MCKENZIE FRIEND
In terms of representation there is a choice for the person who is owed the money to either pay a lawyer who has rights of audience, be it a solicitor, barrister or legal executive, or represent themselves for which they can charge an hourly fee of £19.00 an hour (which they could then recoup from the airline in compensation as part of their costs or appoint a McKenzie Friend which is still cheaper but a McKenzie Friend can only act on behalf of an individual with permission from the court.
As I have a Law Degree, a Level 7 Diploma in Paralegal Practice and as well as litigation experience I can be a Mckenzie Friend if necessary but my fees to act as one is £60.00 per hour and it may be cheaper for a person to represent themselves in person (with my assisting off the record) if permission is refused by the court.
