Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are looking for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader for a leading food manufacturing company based in Leicestershire

This is a permanent position direct with our client

The Job:

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be leading and be responsible for a small team of warehouse operativesHowever – this will also be very much a hands on role so you will be part of the small team and will be required to do all expected requirements along with the others.This includes – but not limited to: Health & Safety – promote safe working practices, investigate and report both near misses and incidentsQuality – ensure standards are maintained and improvedDelivery – checking of stock – both in the warehouse and expected in, overseeing goods inwards, loading of delivery vehiclesCost – ensure stock holding is accurate and any wastage is at a minimal amount. Ensuring operational KPI's are achievedDay to Day – training, identifying any skills gaps, planning for holidays This department is a day shift that operates 6am–6pmYou will be working an 8 hour shift along with 1 hour break and the team will work hours to cover the operational times.Additional hours or overtime are required due to production requirements and for annual leave/sickness coverSalary is negotiable up to GBP32k The person:

Previous Warehouse Team Leader or Supervisor experience requiredHappy to work in a smaller warehouse operation and working as part of a small teamHappy to do a hands on role – this is a job where you are expected to do the same role as the rest of the teamGood problem solving skillsExcellent organisation and time management skillsComputer literate and numeratePreferably have forklift certificate but not essentialHave access to own transport due to location of site LEC03
