Job Title: Transport Administrator / Planner (AM Shift)

Location: Rugby

Salary: 30,000 – 32,500 per annum

Hours: Flexible AM shift (start between 6:00am and 8:00am, finish between 2:00pm and 4:00pm)

Employment Type: Full–Time, Temp to perm.

Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Transport Administrator/Planner to join our team in Rugby. This role is essential in supporting daily transport planning operations, ensuring smooth scheduling, driver allocation, vehicle routing, and communication across the operation. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast–paced environment and can manage multiple tasks with accuracy and confidence.

Key Responsibilities

Plan daily transport schedules, routes, and driver assignments in line with operational requirements.

Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements, delivery times, and load details.

Monitor real–time progress and resolve any delays or route issues efficiently.

Communicate clearly with drivers, warehouse teams, customers, and external partners.

Ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant, including delivery notes and transport paperwork.

Support the coordination of maintenance schedules and vehicle availability.

Use internal transport and planning systems to update routes and job status.

Assist with general administration tasks, reporting, and internal communication as required.

Skills and Experience Required

Previous experience in transport planning or transport administration (preferred).

Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.

Confident communicator with the ability to problem–solve under pressure.

Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively.

Good IT literacy, including MS Office and transport management systems (TMS experience desirable).

Knowledge of transport legislation, driver hours, and compliance is beneficial.
