Job Title: Trainee Transport Operator

Location: Normanton

Hours of Work: Days Monday to Friday for 12 months whilst training, the 4 days on 4 off

Salary: GBP27,000

The Opportunity,

We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Traffic Operator to join our successful Transport department based in our Normanton Depot. As the Trainee Traffic Operator, you will be trained to be responsible for supporting our Transport Operators / Planners with the day to day operations.

Duties & Responsibilities,

Briefing and debriefing driversGeneral office administrative tasks such as paperwork filing.Assisting Transport plannersMonitoring daily trailer countsYard ChecksActively seeking additional work wherever possible from Transport Planners and ManagementAbility to communicate effectively with the customer service teams and driversWorking as part of an efficient and fast paced team Maintain high standards of good housekeeping, including your workstation and environmentMaintain health and safety standards, and actively report observations & concerns We are looking for candidates to apply who have the following:

Ability to work in a fast paced office operation, where targets & priorities can change quickly Previous experience within Transport or similar environment – Preferred not essentialGood IT skillsClear communicator – written and verbalHighly personable and can work well in a teamGreat attention to detailA strong desire to build a long term career in a challenging and rewarding industryCommitment to working collaboratively with others to deliver the highest levels of serviceFlexible to work outside of normal working hours, as required by the business Closing date: 30th November 2025
