Fresh Produce Technical Manager – Driving Quality & Customer Success

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to act as the primary technical liaison for customers, working closely with growers, suppliers, and packing partners to uphold the highest standards of product quality, compliance, and innovation. This is a non–site–based role with no line management, offering the opportunity to make a tangible impact by supporting both internal teams and customer relationships.

Technical Manager Key Responsibilities

Serve as the customer–facing technical liaison, collaborating with suppliers and internal teamsMaintain and update product specifications, due diligence, and technical documentationMonitor product quality, resolve issues, and communicate with customers and suppliersConduct supplier, grower, and packing partner visits to support quality and improvement initiativesSupport new product launches, packaging changes, and seasonal transitionsCapture and report competitor activity, market trends, and technical insightsAssist with customer tenders, documentation requests, and ad hoc technical projectsTechnical Manager Key Requirements

Proven experience in a retail customer–facing Technical role within Fresh ProduceStrong communication, relationship management, and organisational skillsProactive problem–solving mindset with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesAttention to detail, with a focus on continuous improvement and complianceConfident working with suppliers, growers, and cross–functional teamsKnowledge of quality standards, technical specifications, and supply chain processesThis is an opportunity to play a critical role in a growing, dynamic Fresh Produce business.
