General Operative

My client in Ramsey is looking for a reliable and motivated General operative to join their team. In this role, you will play a key part in the fabrication, assembly, and installation of bespoke retail display units. Full training will be provided, but the ideal candidate will bring a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a commitment to producing high–quality results

Main Duties

Working as a General Operative to fabricate and assemble units using various materials. Safely operating hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and finishing. Interpreting technical drawings and specifications accurately. Supporting occasional site work across the UK to install display units. Carrying out repairs and maintenance on displays as required. Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised workspace. Skills / Experience

Previous workshop, carpentry, joinery, or transferable skills are desirable but not essential. Previous experience as a General Operative with previous skills. Ability to use tools safely and confidently. Reliability, flexibility, and a positive approach to teamwork. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. Flexibility to support overtime and site work when needed. Hours & pay

Monday to Thursday

08:00 until 17:00

Friday

08:00 until 13:00

13.00 – 14.00 per hour
