Our business, which is a catering butcher, has over 100 years of experience in the meat and farming industries. All products are prepared in the factory daily to each customer's specifications, packaged and labelled to and above legislation, and delivered directly throughout the UK.

About the RoleThe purpose and main responsibilities of this cold store operative role are to ensure the movement of goods in and out of the cold store and manage the stock rotation.

Working closely with the purchasing, technical, and management teams, this role is key to delivering stock and managing the transit of stock throughout the business.

Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesStock rotation and stock management of all goodsStock replenishmentManually breaking down palletsEnsuring traceability systems are managed and controlledQA/QC of all deliveries, ensuring the quality/weight is to agreed orders and specificationsEnsuring tempering systems are managed and controlledBe responsible for the health and safety of yourself and others involved in their working area.We welcome applications for this cold store operative role from candidates with any of the following skills: production, FLT, factory, catering, time management, teamwork, data entry, organisation, health & safety, food safety regulations, reporting, and document control, as a warehouse operative, production operative or in a similar role.

Desirable SkillsExperience working in a factory, production, and sausage production environment would be advantageous but not essential, as full training will be given.You should have good numeracy and literacy and be able to work individually and as part of a team in a very busy environment.You need to be able to work to tight deadlines.FLT LicenceAbout CompanyOur business supplies to customers, including hotels, restaurants, public houses, the education sector, outdoor events, and food manufacturers. We also provide national distribution via our own fleet and transport partners.
