Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant - Year 5 - Haringey - Long Term to Perm

A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Haringey is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 class starting on 2nd September 2025. This is a long-term to permanent position and an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils with Autism and behavioural needs.

The school is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant who can build strong relationships, manage behaviour confidently, and support pupils both academically and emotionally. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised strategies that enable each child to thrive.

This SEN Teaching Assistant role involves helping children engage with learning across core subjects, ensuring they feel supported and encouraged. You'll also be responsible for de-escalating challenging behaviour and creating a safe, nurturing environment.

To be considered for this SEN Teaching Assistant position, experience supporting pupils with ASD and behavioural challenges is essential. The Headteacher has specifically asked for a SEN Teaching Assistant with a proven track record of managing behaviour and promoting inclusion.
