Salary: £95 – £113 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work in schools in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children’s learning and development across a range of age groups and needs.

Role Overview:

As a TA, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils academically and emotionally, ensuring they are engaged and encouraged throughout their school day. Your role will involve assisting with classroom tasks, one-to-one support, and helping to create a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:

Provide individual and group support to pupils across various subjects.

Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management.

Support pupils with special educational needs or English as an additional language.

Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.

Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom atmosphere.

Requirements for Teaching Assistant:

Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach to learning support.

Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

A full CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps clearly explained.
