TeacherActive is urgently supporting a warm, community–focused primary school in BS3 who are looking to secure a reliable and compassionate 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant for an immediate or fast–approaching start. This fast–track opportunity is perfect for someone who can quickly build trust, settle into routines, and provide the structure a child needs to thrive.

Your Role: As a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Deliver personalised support aligned with EHCP targets

• Provide a calm, structured presence to help the child feel safe and understood

• Use positive behaviour strategies and assist with emotional regulation throughout the day

• Work closely with the SENCO and teaching team to adapt support as needed

• Offer consistent academic, social and emotional guidance

They re Looking For Someone With: • A Level 3/4 Learning Support qualification (or equivalent)

• Proven experience supporting SEND pupils, preferably 1:1 in a primary setting

• A patient, emotionally–aware and compassionate approach

• Strong behaviour management and de–escalation skills

• An Enhanced Child–Only DBS on the Update Service

• Two recent references from educational settings
