Are you a hands-on, reliable individual with a passion for keeping things running smoothly? Do you enjoy a role where no two days are the same? Mascalls Academy is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Facilities Assistant to join our welcoming and supportive Estates Team as soon as possible.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a vibrant secondary academy that’s part of the forward-thinking Leigh Academies Trust. You'll play a key role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for students and staff – a role that’s highly valued and truly rewarding.

What you’ll be doing:

Supporting the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the academy buildings and grounds

*

Carrying out minor repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment tasks

*

Assisting with porterage and event setups

*

Supporting health, safety, and security routines across the site

*

Being a vital part of a team that keeps the academy running safely and efficiently

What we’re looking for:

*

A proactive, trustworthy, and hard-working team player

*

Good general DIY and maintenance skills

*

A basic understanding of Health & Safety and safeguarding (training provided if needed)

*

Physically fit and able to work both independently and as part of a team

*

Basic IT skills are a bonus – but not essential

Previous facilities or caretaking experience is useful but not essential – if you’ve got the right attitude, we’ll support you with the training you need.
