Location: Retford

Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in schools in Retford. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced school staff to support teaching and learning while gaining invaluable classroom experience.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects and year groups, ensuring students remain on task in a calm and focused learning environment.

Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:

Supervise classes during short-term teacher absences, delivering set work.

Maintain classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policy.

Ensure students complete the assigned work to the best of their ability.

Provide support and encouragement to students throughout the lesson.

Report back to teaching staff on student behaviour and lesson outcomes.

Requirements for Cover Supervisor:

Experience working in an educational setting or with young people is desirable.

Strong communication and classroom management skills.

Adaptability and confidence to lead lessons across various subjects.

A genuine interest in education and supporting student progress.

A valid enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.

A full, up-to-date CV with a clear employment history and explanations for any gaps within the last 10 years.
