Salary: £90 – £120 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to work in schools in Sheffield. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and looking to gain hands-on experience in a classroom setting.

Role Overview:

As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will be responsible for managing a classroom during the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring pupils remain on task with the work set. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced educators seeking flexible work.

Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:

Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects.

Maintain classroom order and ensure a positive learning environment.

Provide guidance and support to students where necessary.

Report back on student progress and any concerns to senior staff.

Uphold school policies regarding behaviour, attendance, and safeguarding.

Requirements for Cover Supervisor:

Previous experience working with young people (school-based or otherwise).

Strong classroom presence and communication skills.

Confidence to lead and engage in a class.

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

A full CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps clearly explained.
