Description

Long Term Futures is searching for a dedicated and empathetic individual prepared to create a real difference. We are looking for an exceptional Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive primary school environment in the Lambeth area. This is a superb opportunity to contribute significantly to pupils' lives by helping to develop their social, emotional, and behavioural skills.

We believe effective support starts with the right environment. The school cultivates a strong ethos of consistency and constructive behaviour management, making this a fantastic setting for a committed professional.

The Behaviour Mentor position is vital. At Long Term Futures, we specalise in securing stable and progressive placements for you. This is a long-term role, providing stability and a clear possibility of a permanent position. You will collaborate closely with teaching staff to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for every pupil.

Your Key Responsibilities

Deliver focused one-on-one and small group support to specific pupils.

Implement proactive, effective strategies to help children with emotional self-regulation.

Develop strong, respectful, and professional relationships with students.

Apply de-escalation methods calmly and efficiently during challenging incidents.

Essential Candidate Requirements

Demonstrable experience supporting children's behaviour within a school or educational setting.

A solid grasp of various behaviour management and support techniques.

The crucial ability to remain composed and level-headed in challenging situations.

A valid enhanced DBS check is necessary, or the immediate willingness to complete the application process.

What We Offer

Access to complimentary CPD training opportunities, such as courses on Understanding Autism.

A knowledgeable, dedicated consultant to provide consistent support throughout your placement.

Long-term, secure employment with a genuine route to a permanent role.

We facilitate trial days instead of traditional interviews to ensure the placement is the perfect mutual fit for you and the school team.

Our application process is simple and transparent:

Submit your CV to our team.

Discuss the role in more detail with Jack at Long Term Futures.

Complete our registration and essential compliance checks (including Right to Work, DBS, and professional references).

Complete a brief video onboarding interview focusing on safeguarding scenarios.

Attend a trial day or formal interview to meet the school team.

Start your new, meaningful role!
