ASD primary and ASD secondary class teachers

I am seeking to appoint 2 SEN teachers for a Hackney SEN school to work in their primary phase (KS1) and Secondary (KS4). The school are seeking outstanding, self-motivated class teachers to join their school, developing provision for pupils with autism.

The salary structure is mainscale 1-6 with inner London weighting and Special needs allowance. To ensure that the school attracts the best possible staff the school is open to provide additional payment within a recruitment package for the right candidate i.e. relocation expenses.

For those who are ambitious the Head is keen to stress that there are opportunities for additional managerial responsibilities that would attract additional payment.

The school is a modern, calm and very well resourced facility in the Heart of the borough. The school is close to shops, restaurants, bars and excellent public transport links to central, east, Southeast and north London. The school is an ASD specialist environment with low stimulus classrooms, and excellent on site facilities in terms of sensory rooms, therapy facilities (in-house SALT, OT, Art/Music/Dance therapy). In its most recent inspection the school relieved an "Outstanding" grade from Ofsted; the Head is keen to continue to strive for this level of excellence and is seeking staff who buy into the ethos and drive that has brought the school its current status.

This is a unique opportunity for suitable candidates to progress their careers by joining a talented, hard-working and friendly team involved in developing first class provision for pupils with autism and learning difficulties.

We have a multi-agency focus and an emphasis on on-going professional development for all staff.

The ideal applicant will be:

* Experienced and energetic practitioners
* Knowledgeable with the skills and understanding of a range of teaching, learning, assessment and behaviour management strategies
* Determined to make a positive impact on the progress of pupils with autism who have learning difficulties
* Highly motivated, innovative people with enthusiasm and commitment
* The proven ability to work collaboratively in a multi-professional team
* Willing to learn new things and follow best practise policies

The successful candidates will have the opportunity to:

* Benefit from excellent teaching support and leadership
* Receive regular cutting edge CPD training
* Develop as leaders of learning through career management and personally tailored, in-depth professional development
* Access a range of resources and new school facilities

I would like to hear from you if you believe you have the skills, experience and passion to make a positive contribution to the development of this fantastic school.
