About the Client/Child: Frankie is a lively and sociable 9-year-old who lives with his parents and two younger sisters. He enjoys games, story time, music, football with his dad, walks and spending time with friends.
Frankie has epilepsy and quadriplegic cerebral palsy, affecting his cognitive and physical abilities. He communicates using Eye Gaze technology and PECS, uses a wheelchair and receives nutrition, fluids and medication through a mini-button PEG (blended diet).
He recently had surgery for an ITB pump to help manage muscle spasms and dystonia, which has significantly improved his comfort. Frankie is supported 2:1 by a dedicated care team providing round-the-clock support.
The Role at a Glance: This dynamic role provides person-centred support at home, school and in the community. You will work alongside parents, therapists and professionals to support Frankie’s learning, activities and therapy programmes.
Frankie has an extensive therapy plan including speech and language therapy, physiotherapy, dramatherapy and occupational therapy, delivered in creative and engaging ways. Training will be provided by his therapists.
The role involves supporting Frankie with daily care, medical needs, school activities, appointments, play dates and community outings, ensuring he continues to experience a full and active life.
This Job Would Suit: Someone passionate about working with children and committed to Frankie’s development. You will be bubbly, proactive and positive, with a great sense of humour. Frankie responds well to fun interactions—silly dancing, joking around or playful antics will quickly win him over. Availability to work every Saturday is essential.
Why You’ll Love This Role: Frankie is a wonderful child with huge potential, and being part of his team is incredibly rewarding. His parents strongly support training, professional development and ongoing learning for the care team, making this a fantastic opportunity for career growth.
Recruitment Process: This role is managed through Snap Care Shortlist Service. Applications are screened to confirm essential criteria before being passed to the client for the next stage of recruitment.
