Description

A passionate and confident musician will be taking on students who have the desire to further or to begin their singing practises. I am singer, pianist and music teacher with in-depth knowledge of music theory and a knack for inspiring students.

My aim is to motivate all singers to their full potential and those who have low self-esteem to believe in themselves and show that hard work is rewarded. Each of my lessons will be specially curated around the individual’s singing experience. Everyone is expected to be on different vocal ability, so I will create a safe, fun space which will allow you to explore yours.

Please find below, a brief summary of content and tools we will be using in the course of our sessions:

Content:

Develop a 6 months lesson plan based on what you would like to achieve;
Vocal assessment to identify areas which need to be targeted;
The anatomy and physiology of vocal and breathing mechanisms;
Performing and singing techniques; cover basic music theory in relation to vocal practise;
Experiment with different genres, help you to find your own style

Tools:

Sound recorder – you will receive recorded sessions;
Handouts;
Exclusive online materials;
Performing opportunities;
Option to attend bespoke workshops.

My experience:

While having recently graduated from a Commercial Music Performance course with Upper Second class honours with a Bachelor of Music. I have been teaching for over 4 years and organised lesson plans for each student according to their experience in vocal training and vocal ability. Supplied with all the necessary learning materials, including handouts, demonstration and online links. Created a safe, fun, and relaxed learning environment to ensure comfort during practice and maximise their learning capability. Provided guidance with song choice, suitable vocal techniques and their individual practice. Prepared and assigned homework appropriate to work completed per lesson. Maintained the relationships outside practice hours to keep up to date with their vocal state. Taught students new skills and explained the anatomy and physiology of vocal and breathing mechanisms. Specialised in both classical and contemporary music. Studied intensively with vocal coaches to develop voice and performance skills. Selected music carefully in order to achieve a balance of musical styles on the programme.Most importantly, I start with identifying student's needs and create a 6 months lesson plan based on what they would like to achieve. Usually my lessons are 60 minutes long, 40 minutes is spent on working towards the goal (for ex. ABRSM grade or a concert) and the rest of the lesson can be spent on learning a new piece, working on techniques (performing, stage, confidence, music theory, music history or improvisation). My main goal as a teacher is to create an environment for steady growth and creative development.

Lesson rate:

60 min- £30
45 min- £25

Flexible to travel to your desired location in London !

Looking forward to meeting you :)
