Summary
We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Dean Construction & Groundworks Ltd. Candidates must have experience in estimating, takeoffs, managing project costs and subcontract management.
Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
Monitor project expenditures and implement cost control measures.
Produce and submit applications for payment.
Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial targets are met.
Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and identify potential cost implications.
Prepare reports on project costs and forecasts for stakeholders.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or estimator specific to the groundworks and civils sector.
Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
